Another week begins,

Did anyone go to a Halloween party on the weekend? Give me a comment about it on this posting.

1. You may or may not have remembered that there is a quiz today: “Working with Words” from www.jegsworks.com

2. Your websites did not get marked this weekend because Telus, which has been on strike for nearly three months now, messed up my ADSL account and I was not connected…but by the end of today I hope to be so I will be checking out your websites this week…better get it all fixed up and looking sharp…check the marking tips link to know what I will be looking for.

3. Your powerpoint presentations should be sufficiently started. Don’t panic, you all this week to work on them. Remember to use the help tab to learn useful tid bits about the software. We will be watching each other’s presentations with the help of the projector so make your presentation flashy for the rest of us.

4. There will be another quiz coming next Monday on “Working with Numbers” also from www.jegsworks.com, so if you find you have extra time you should work on that.

Pretty much the same assignment as yesterday. The only question is how many people actually looked at # 1? There will be four quizzes in the section “Working with Words”, which you will take on Monday. The “Working with Numbers” quizzes will be given to you next Friday…don’t wait until the last second to try these lessons.

1. Still working away at www.jegsworks.com: You should be finishing “Working with Words” and moving onto “Working with Numbers” there will be a quiz on both of these coming later this week.

2. How many of you have made a power point presentation? This week and next week you will research and prepare a presentation of your favorite music group. Your presentation will be shown to the rest of the class and must include:
a. When and where the individual or group came into existence.
b. The names of the members and the story behind the band’s name.
c. The style (type) of the music. The band’s logo.
d. The first album, the worst album, the most popular album.
e. The trials and tribulations of the band (success or distress stories).
f. A sample of your favorite song.
g. Best Concert Performance and Next Concert Performance
h. Short video clip
i. Famous lines or notable moments.

Yes sir and madame,

We are finally sitting in the computer lab with working computers. There was supposedly a major virus attack on the districts computers during the strike so beware. I hope you are all well rested and have had a chance to enjoy all your hobbies.

The movies were just examples of what you could do with your video projects for this term. Some of you are making video games instead but everyone will still participate in making at least a short advertisement campaign of some sort in early November. This week and next week we will turn our attention to the following:

Well, that’s enough of a list to get you started, wouldn’t you say? So begin researching the group that you want to share with the rest of us and save the information to your U drive. DO NOT save the video clips to the U drive just yet, just save the link and I will see if we can get enough space for all this footage.

Hello my fair friends,

I have been missing our class time together and wonder why more of you haven’t brought me cookies? I sure hope to see you all sooner than later. I can’t say when this how thing will be over but keep your fingers crossed! I have been marking your websites and blogs; looking pretty good so far. I will give each of you a small breakdown of what you scored when we meet next.

I do not have the internet connected at my NEW home yet, so I have been unable to make daily postings and have not checked my email in some time. I should be hooked up next week, thank the heavens.
